Healing Touch Program (HTP) is proud to be accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (ANCC).

Healing Touch Program began as nursing continuing education in 1989, and this reflects our long-standing commitment to excellence in education and validates Healing Touch as a respected modality within the field of energy medicine and integrative care.

HTP’s standardized five-level curriculum includes 108 hours of comprehensive training. Grounded in energetic principles, self-care, ethical practice, and holistic healing, this well-established curriculum provides a clear, professional path for learning. Healing Touch is taught and practiced in over 30 countries, reflecting its global reach and credibility as an energy-based healing modality.

Code of Ethics & Scope of Practice

All Healing Touch Program (HTP) students, practitioners, and instructors agree to abide by a professional Code of Ethics and Scope of Practice developed to ensure safe, respectful, and heart-centered care.

The HTP Code of Ethics reflects the shared values and professional standards of our community. It serves as a guide promoting responsible, ethical behavior in all aspects of Healing Touch practice and education.

The Scope of Practice clearly outlines the appropriate use of Healing Touch within professional or personal settings. Healing Touch practitioners use Healing Touch within the scope of their professional background, licensing, and credentials. They represent themselves to the public accurately, in alignment with their qualifications.

All practitioners are expected to practice in accordance with the Healing Touch Program Code of Ethics, the Scope of Practice, and all applicable local, state/provincial, and federal laws and regulations. These guidelines serve as a foundation for trust, ensuring clients receive care that is grounded in professionalism, compassion, and competence.

By defining appropriate behavior and addressing key areas such as client rights, boundaries, and conflicts of interest, the Code of Ethics provides a clear foundation for accountability. It serves as a benchmark for both individual and organizational integrity, supporting excellence at every level of Healing Touch practice.

HTP has a formal policy and procedure for submitting grievances involving a student, practitioner, mentor, instructor, or staff member who is believed to have violated the Code of Ethics or Scope of Practice. All cases are reviewed and managed by the HTP Ethics Advisor.

Board-Certified Certification & Ongoing Development

Healing Touch Certified Practitioners (HTCPs) complete over 100 hours of education, a formal mentorship of at least one year, and a rigorous certification process administered by Healing Touch Certification. Practitioners commit to continuing education to renew their certification every five years.

Healing Touch Certified Instructors (HTCIs) are experienced practitioners who have completed advanced training and demonstrated excellence in both Healing Touch practice and teaching. Becoming a certified instructor is a significant professional milestone and reflects a deep commitment to upholding the integrity and standards of the Healing Touch Program.
